So as you shop for a new home, use the checklist below to make sure that you're getting the most for your money.

Standard Woodside Features:

• Minimum 8 foot tall, poured-concrete basement walls with brick faced panels – to give an attractive brick-look both in your basement and from the outside.

• Our foundations are waterproofed, not damp-proofed. We use a rubberized coating that expands and contracts with the concrete to keep any water from leaking into your basement, which includes a 5-year manufacturer's warranty against any cracks that leak.

• Our floor systems are stiffer than what code requires. They are engineered "i" joists designed to exceed the standard code requirement for deflection. Code requires a deflection calculation of L/360 we design all our floor systems for a L/480 Deflection – giving extra strength and rigidity to your floors, and preventing future problems.

• Our standard shingle is the Landmark 30 shingle manufactured by Certain teed which has a great architectural shake look, is guaranteed for 30 years, and is treated with a algae resistant coating to keep moss from forming on the shingles and detracting the shingle quicker.

• Insulated Jeldwin tilt-in windows have a lifetime warranty on operating parts and against glass seal failure. The windows also have a transferable warranty from 10 years of the initial installation date. This can add to the value of your house when you’re ready to move up.

• Interior walls are painted with 3 coats of eggshell finish paint.
